Post-Launch Clean Up, and Thanks
First of all, thanks for all the kind words everyone has had for me over the last couple of days, both here on Boing Boing and privately. To err to the maudlin, I needed it.
We've still got some kinks in our system. Comment account integration between the main Boing Boing site and Gadgets is still screwy—making you have two separate accounts is not by design. We'll fix that. We are also still trying to figure out how best to integrate the content from Gadgets with the rest of the content. We'll get it all worked out, I'm sure, but in the meantime, patience is appreciated.
Fred N., Peter T., and Fernando A. all sent in favicons when they realized BBG didn't have one. Thanks to all of you! It should be filtering out now.
Besides that, it feels good to be back in the saddle, especially with so many good comments already starting to show up. And remember, if you'd like to contact me directly, my email is here.
A few people have said they're having some problems with line breaks in feed readers. We thought we had that fixed, so be sure to refresh your feed, but if it's still happening I'd appreciate it if you mentioned it.

Like the new site layout - the only bug I have found is in my particular configuration of Firefox.
Reloading the page automatically sends me to the bottom of the page, not the top or wherever I was.
Gadgets site works fine.
Still not getting author info in the feeds - we know it's you, Joel, but it'd be nice to have it in the feed in case some other folks decide to contribute.
Also, I didn't have to create two accounts, but I had to log out of the one I created here and log back in over at BB proper, and now I can comment in both places. (Not that I think I should need an account, typekey, openID, blah blah blah.)

I'm still seeing a big block o' text in Google Reader even after refreshing the feed.
Real soon now we'll get the missing notice put up on the registration box that says "Anonymous comments will automatically be held for moderation." Things should be a little calmer after that.
Well, I can't comment anonymously and I have gotten no activation email when I tried to open an account to comment.
So I figure some bugs are still being worked out.
Joel, I LOOOOVE the blog. Seriously. You're doing a bang-up job here. The BB crew are obviously super-smart to have you on board.
