Video: Yamaha’s Grid Sequencer “Tenori On” Launches in London

Yamaha’s “Tenoni On” button-matrix sequencer launched last night in London and several folks were on hand to play with the unit, write rude phrases in its lights, and generally have a trippy-dippy experience.

Music Thing (celebrating its/his third anniversary!) has a nice collection of videos, including the one embedded above.

I just picked up a copy of this guy’s DS game, Elektroplankton. It’s easy to see that it was made by the same person :)

(FYI: Elektroplankton is a RARE DS game which, well, isn’t really a game.. it’s a series of musical ‘toys’ that you can use to generate music just by playing with the thing. It’s pretty cool.)

These things are so awesome. I wrote my finals essay for Technology Discovery Class on the Tenori-On

    how much is it?

  4. Joel Johnson says:

I’ve got Elektroplankton! It’s a great game to show friends, because once they’ve played through it for 15 minutes they’ve seen all there is and will give it back.
