How much money do you guys get from Apple? You are the biggest group of hypocrites. Thanks for your support of AT&T as well.

  2. Joel Johnson says:

I get $10,000 every time I post about Apple, plus expenses. That sounds like a lot, but you should see how much I get for posting about Microsoft.

We’re technology journalists. We write, report, and talk about technology. It’s what we do for a living. Do you expect us to ignore a major product launch entirely, refusing to discuss it because we may or may not agree with all of its decisions? Of course you don’t.

But it’s easier to make a cheap, drive-by slag than it is to consider that talking about a company and its products isn’t condoning it or giving it tacit support.

I own a Mac and an iPhone. That’s what you should be attacking me about, if you feel so strongly about discussing it. Somehow I suspect you don’t feel that strongly at all.

Disclaimer: Use of “we” does not imply that I’m speaking for Xeni.

< > That’s right. I get TWICE that much in blood money, or the equivalent number of freshly slaughtered babies, before I even roll outta bed.

If you saw the segment and felt I was anything less than honest, critical, or appropriately skeptical and questioning, feel free to weigh in and say something. But I doubt you did.

  4. SightseeMC says:

I’d think you guys have been on the internet as long as I, and would know the old adage, “don’t feed the trolls.”

  5. Xeni Jardin says:

oooooh don’t make me feed you!

    (ok you’re right.)
