Holland Electro Wave: TV and Microwave in One

The Holland Electro Wave TV is exactly what is sounds like: a microwave with a television for a screen. It's just in prototype form now and hopefully it stays that way, at least until they can figure out how to make the contents of the microwave also visible on the screen.

Hey, what if they put in a window?

This would be cool in the kitchen if we couldn't already see the TV.
Heck ... give the think a digital input and you can use it as a monitor for a kitchen PC.

To get past not seeing the food they could put a camera in with a view of the food.
Then they could give you the option of a PIP or full screen view of the food.

Mind you ... the light in my microwave has been burned out for years and it's impossible to replace, so I'm used to not seeing the food.
