Rumor: iPhone Europe Launch November 12th?

MacBidouille.com has a scan of a purported iPhone advertisement from T-Mobile in Germany, showing a 3G-capable iPhone with 16GB of storage. Anything is possible, of course, but how mad will people be if the Euro iPhone has 3G data connection and twice the storage? [MacBidouille] (Thanks, Matt!)

(I think as a matter of course I may just never post rumors at all, but I'm a bit torn. I don't want to get caught up in the rumor echo chamber, but I don't want to not pass on news people may enjoy. What's the right path here?)

Um I don't know where you got 23RD of November from seeing as that advert very clearly gives the launch as the 12th of November.

Don't you mean 12 November like the MacBidoulle image says?

I'd get in sync with the other rumor-mongers: everybody else is saying November 12th.

Yeah, sorry about that. Just a typo!

Standalone rumors aren't necessarily worth publishing, but with all the theorizing over Apple's sudden price drop, information like this helps shed light on why.

If they're rolling out a 3G/16 GB iPhone in time for Christmas, it means they need to clear out their original iPhone inventory before then.

Bottom line: Sell the 2G/8 GB iPhone for $400 now, so you don't have to sell them all for $200 at Christmas. All the fanboys who ponied up $600 this summer will suck it up and pay another $600 for an iPhone with a useful data connection. Who knows -- maybe they'll even let you use stereo Bluetooth headphones!

Stereo BT would be nice, but just a headphone jack sized for standard 'phones would be nice. I checked out the 'approved' Belkin adapter at the Apple store - it's HUGE.

I am kind of torn on rumors myself. Most of them seem ridiculous, and I would rather not see a page filled with them - even if it seems like the rumormongers keep getting better and better (see recent new nano leak, new apple keyboard leak, etc).

Speaking of, where are all the dell rumors at?

Speaking as a UK Mac fanboi, the iPhone *has* to have 3G in Europe or it will be worthless. UK phone provider 3 now has an unlimited data package for £10 a month as does T-Mobile (£7.50 for phone only, £12.50 for phone and laptop over Bluetooth or USB). Vodafone are pushing out the boat with 120Mb for £10. All the UK phone companies have 3G licenses that they paid huge amounts of money for, and it's taken five years for the technology to make it viable. While the iPhone could be the handset to do it, there are plenty of other competitors, so Apple won't find any of the phone companies as easy to make demands of as AT&T (at least one UK phone company rejected Apple's demand of £200 per iPhone sold).
Just a thought, but it's interesting that the iPod touch's wifi module is exposed. I wonder if that can be replaced by a combined wifi/bluetooth/phone module, and if there's space for a SIM card in the battery compartment...

Hey, can anyone recommend a site that supports 3410 Nokia ring tone? Nokia forums weren't much help unfortunately.
I'm an IT guy but apparently I suck at cell phone tech. Heheh :)
