"Snail" Espresso Machine Prototype

snailmachine.jpgI can't begin to suggest that this "Snail" coffee maker makes a decent cup—it uses those goddamned coffee pods, for one—but it is certainly attractive. Of course, there's no reason the Snail, still in prototype, couldn't be tooled to use real, packed coffee ground by a proper grinder.

The Snail is one of several interestingly-designed coffee makers on display at the German site "Room 69," which despite its name appears to be only about design.

My sensio uses coffee pods and can make a better coffee than most of the crap vendors out there...

If it's an espresso machine as the style and headline suggest, then it almost certainly uses the E.S.E. standard espresso pods, which are reasonably priced and produced by many manufacturers, unlike "coffee" pods, which tend to be expensive and proprietary.
