Credit Card Money Clip Concept

visalclip.jpg

I was browsing Roger Arquer’s design portfolio looking for his updated mousetrap designs (as suggest by MAKE) when this concept, proposed in 2004, distracted me. A credit card that doubles as a money clip? I want that immediately. Can they somehow make the other side of it a Metrocard?

Reminds me of my Jimi wallet a bit. I highly recommend it.

On a complete tangent, I have to post anonymously because I lost my BoingBoing password and also the recovery word. How come I can’t recover the password with just my e-mail address?

Seems cool at first glance, but wouldn’t you get tired of removing your cash every time you wanted to use the card?

Pork Musket has a point, though it is nifty. Shame you can’t really cut your existing credit cards to shape, as most of the stuff on the face is important, and most of the stuff on the back takes up too much room.

Hmmm. Just wondering why you would need a credit card if you have enough cash on hand to use a money clip… Hmmm.

OT, but I hate that guy’s website. I gave up trying to find his useless (if the picture Mark posted was representative) mousetrap designs. If he designed the site (or even if he just thinks it’s a good site design), it kinda makes the utility of everything else he’s designed suspect.
