Video: The World Toilet Summit

National Geographic has a fascinating video from the "World Toilet Summit," a very real convention that brings together various technologies that might improve toilets and sewage systems around the world—presuming someone even has a toilet. (Much of the world does not.) There are completely self-cleaning toilets (a model of which is pictured above). Toilet systems for trains. Giant public toilet compounds that harvest the waste as biofuel, heating showers. This is one conference I actually wish I had been able to visit.
