Mushroom Floor Lamp by Simon Duff

This mushroom-shaped floor lamp from Australian designer Simon Duff is just great, especially the LED-lit gills and the off-kilter resting position. I can't quite tell if this is a concept only or will be sold, but I suspect the former.

looks like a brilliant (sorry, pun) product to me. indirect illumination, unique style, energy efficient - sounds like a winner. I'd love to have it resting on a floor to give an oddly oriented light source, or it could easily sit on a table and give nice ambient light.

It would be great to see something like this in production, and me with the disposable income to afford it!

Simon is producing a limited run of 200 which will be signed and numbered and available in black, white and rust. Be quick though they are hot property right now!
