Bomb Bank Explodes If You Don't Feed It

This cute little bomb-shaped piggy bank from Tomy will cough up all its contents if you don't feed it coins on a regular basis.

January is a battlefield for Japan's piggy bank market, because people often make saving money one of their New Year resolutions and because children like to put aside the cash gifts their family gives them on New Year's Day. Last year, the company launched a popular piggy bank with a screen showing comic characters that grow older according to the amount the user saved. It sold 250,000 in a year.

The bomb bank is Japan-only for now, it seems.

Shall we start a pool as to how long it will be before an American importing one of these in his/her suitcase through the Boston Airport will be Tasered to death? I call 5 days!

Tasering to death only happens to obvious non-threats, a person bringing this through Boston will likely be shot and/or sent to Gitmo and their family billed a couple million dollars to reimburse the city.

I'll take two weeks.
