Actually, it may _increase_ the number of places you can use it; metal detectors are prohibited in many interesting places.
hmmmm after reading this and the article related to landmines on regular BB I wonder if a bunch of these might be helpful for more than finding "gold coin replicas".
THESULLIV beat me to it. These sound like a cheap substitute for expensive robots if they are any good, and from the looks of it they aren't heavy enough to actually trigger the mines.
