Artistic license, but it looks cool, and threaded the right way the 'head' would stick up more. I use about a hundred zip ties a week, and I NEED this ring!
I can get three to four rings at summer fairs for what this one costs, and they have skulls and spiders and shit on them, too. Pass.
I'm torn, I can understand the desire of the artist to expose the texture, but a functional MRI of my brain when I look at it would read a flashing "WRONG".
