Random Thought on Wiimote and Remote Sex
Why hasn't someone combined the 3d positional Wiimote controller from the Nintendo Wii and a—excuse me for being crass but I believe this is now the parlance—fucking machine? You've got three axis control plus rotational sensitivity. Seems possible. Once you had a one-to-one mapping of the Wiimote and the machine, you should be able to broadcast the positional data over the net without much problem. You might even be able to wire vibration feedback from the machine to be sent to the Wiimote.

I don't see Wii-implemented remote fucking taking off until there's some sort of haptic feedback beyond the vibrating Wiichucks (which is really only of use to those who get their jollies by something that can be stuck inside them). I make no assumptions about your bedroom habits, but for myself the experience does not focus solely around a single organ. I doubt you'll get more than the bleeding edgers and nymphos lining up to try it until it becomes a completely immersive experience, and I think we're still at least a decade away from that.
Joel, you will never know how disappointed I was to visit the ITP Winter Show and not see any Wii sex toys. I was expecting to see something along the lines of your post, because it always seemed so obvious to me! Alas. Maybe the Spring Show will be more promising.
P.S. It would be great if player one was getting vibrating feedback of some sort from the Wiimote, but even better if player two's Wiimote was, well, responding too.

There are some possible problems that arise BECAUSE you have 3 axis controls combined with a lack of visual feedback for (as Lia put it) Player One. This could easily lead to the "Watch where you're putting that thing" problems that are frequently encountered by drunks and fumbling teens, and possibly some nasty bruises for Player Two. I'm not saying something couldn't be built like this, I just think that it's not going to be as cheap or easy as you might think. Now, one axis and rotation? that I could see being done, though still you are looking at a lot of money (heck, a vanilla machine costs in the $500 range...so 'm told).
On a completely unrelated note, Rez is apparently coming out for Xbox 360 and will support multiple standard Xbox 360 wireless rumble-enabled controls instead of the original, completely non-sexual haptic feedback device. Completely. Unrelated.

I think the better question is, what is 3 axis feedback going to get you? Find me a machine this interface would be useful on and I'd be happy to implement it, but just because it's /there/ doesn't mean it's necessarily a good interface idea until there's a comparable end actuator for it.

Your assumption that I was speaking solely of women is unfortunate; if you check, nowhere do I mention gender. My point was that for anyone for whom the sexual act is anything more than a race to the finish line, this will be no more fulfilling than any other autoerotic activity or device.
And thankfully, though perhaps I've never even talked to a woman, I seem to have little difficulty in making them say the darndest things.

Guys, the three axis' don't need to simply be connected to a robotic dick. Connect the Z axis to the robo-cock, and the X and Y to some kind of robotic tongue. Done deal.
