Krown's Video-Based Sign Language Pocket Dictionary
A New Scientist contributor spotted a new pocket translator from Krown at CES that displays video clips of a person demonstrating how to use sign language for any of the 4,500 words stored inside. Seems like a great tool for both the deaf and those learning to sign.
It's not on Krown's page yet, but New Scientist says it'll be around $180 when it launches later this year.

nice! My best friend is Deaf, and she would really get a kick out of this. It won't replace interpreters, but it looks like a good one-way dictionary. Something like this has long been overdue.
This is rad. I have 4,500 (actually 4,501) signs that I converted to work with the sansa mp3 / video player but alas it can't handle that many videos. Size is fine, but total number of videos crashes it every time.
