Companies like, say, Sony, would be selling that Battlestar Galactica paper with all of the corners cut off at a 45 degree angle. And that'd drive the Apple iPaper fans nuts.
If Apple sold sheets of paper, you'd only be able to write on them with the iPencil. 3rd party writing implements would be impossible to find for them :)
Even if rounded edges are safer, where would the staple go?
Bart Simpson's Cypress Creek teacher to her 'remedial' class: "Okay. Now, everyone take out your safety pencil and a circle of paper. This week, I hope we can finish our work on the letter 'A'."
What would the
">iPhone paper be like? Like a post it note? Seriously I think parody commercials like this pretty much cement Apple's forthcoming success with this product. I can't think of a single Sony or Panasonic product that was ever the victim of a parody. Oh you can find them on Microsoft products, but in these cases they are compliments.
Battlestar Galactica paper (and books, and picture frames, and dogtags, and photographs) is a lovely design element but makes NO SENSE. Why would you ever print anything on paper that isn't a shape that tessellates? Where is the planetful of little diamonds and triangles of paper?

But seriously, why don't we have gently cornered paper? : )

I've heard that the warranty on these things sucks.
