Hand-Painted Nintendo Chuck Taylors

Cole Ranze hand-painted these Chuck Taylors with a selection of the most popular Nintendo characters. He's auctioning them off on eBay. They're up to $250 so far, which is a lot of scratch for shoes too eminently radical to ever actually wear.

Those aren't just popular nintendo characters. In fact, some (like Ness, or the Ice Climbers) were never all that popular until well after their origin games were released. They are, however, the cast of Super Smash Brothers: Melee. Shame he didn't go for the additional folks in Brawl.

I would wear those, non-stop. They should mass market them; they would be bigger then Air Jordans. I have loved Mario and all those characters since I was a little kid and actually played video games. There is no reason that these shouldn't be available for every person on earth. Everyone needs shoes, why not make your footsies fashionable, or a least bad a$$ looking.
