The Wifi Predator

iHacked has instructions for making a Wifi Predator, a gadget that connects to a distant wireless access point and shares it with computers in your vicinity.

The predator is a modified wireless router connected to a high-powered antenna and running custom firmware to actively seek out open wireless connections. Once they are found, it will test them for internet connectivity and then join and repeat the one with the strongest signal to secured wireless connection that YOU control. (*Note: It is illegal to use a wireless access point that you are not authorized to use.)

Well, once connected, if you browse on over to 192.168.1.1, it could be more predator than parasite.

If it offers you a valid IP address when you request one, you've just been authorized.

WiFi Predator is SICK!!!!
Mine gets Over 10 miles but i use a free hotspot
about 5 miles away for my internet connection
I use it for my XBoX Live or Wii wireless setup!
No Computer even needed!
