Spy sunglasses not likely to be in Bond's arsenal
"These camera sunglasses certainly aren't x-ray specs, but they do capture 1.3 megapixel still images (at a resolution of 1280x1024). The included RF remote-control is ideal for easy, stealth-style photo shooting. ... The sunglasses also allow you to enjoy your music via MP3 playback."
"Stealth-style" is a phrase that should not be uttered without wild, ninja-like gesticulation and a correspondingly dangerous facial expression.

The hatred is well placed here, Rob.
This is dumb. :D
As far as I can tell, the target market for both this (creepy ThinkGeek product page notwithstanding) and the Oakley Thump are snowboarders and skiiers.
Looking at my breasts? It's time for a diet.
Didn't BBG or maybe BB already write about those?
From experience I can say, yes, they look very 80ies and the pic quality is ok, as long as you hold your head still, the object does not move (tried and tested that on my 3 year old) and it is a bright, sunny day ...
Kinda fun thing and it just shows the general direction .. soon it will be smaller, better quality / faster cam, cheaper ... and hopefully nicer looking goggles
Would like very much one of this with video capability. Ideal for fast ski traveling, or bicycle.
I've seen a perfectly normal-looking pair of faux-Wayfarers that could record video (via a fake retainer strap that connected to a belt thingy) some ten or more years ago. Anyone walking into a locker room wearing these can probably expect a cross-trainer to the head.
without having seen this product here or on some other site describing it, would people be able to see that it had a camera? If not then they qualify as spy glasses, if yes then they don't.
