"Lydmur" — or "Wall of Sound" — was an installation by Maia Urstad. Each stereo appears to play a different ambient tone.

those tunes are bumping, let's get the dance party started!
Wow. That is such a neat idea! I'd love to see the power strips behind it.
Got any Afrika Bambaataa?
sounds like the tones are morse code.
What's the relevance if this is 3 years old?
@ariwriter: Here's a hint: In three more years it will still be more relevant than your comment.
It must be a bitch to rewind all those tapes... and let's not even think of pressing play on cue.
Hey look, I finally got a use for my FM ipod thing.
Oh wait that wall is bigger than 3ft
Nevermind

Joel, your response is not fair as the above posting does not provide details about the art installation other than providing links to various sites.
It appears that stigeredoo's link on the installation is from three years ago, and that the artist's link describes four versions of the traveling installation, first in Europe and most recently in Nova Scotia.
By providing information on the installation, and not just pictures and links to sites, the relevance would be better understood. See, the artist's website indicates the installation is not about gadgets or even music but rather is social commentary on what will survive when humans die.
I liked it better when it was just a wall of boom boxes.
I'm going to coin a phrase here based on the slang the k00l k1dz speak:
Joelwned!
or how about:
Joelwnage!
snapz!
Joel, your response is not fair
