Moonstream rover concept by Anthony Sims

Designer Anthony Sims created this conceptual "Moonstream" vehicle, conceived to ferry space tourists around the surface of our moon and beyond. It's a nifty design, balancing the line between sleekly futuristic and practical.

That's strange ... it reminded me of the bad-ass 'bus' from 'Damnation Alley' so many years ago .....

...plus, it also reminds me of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

So, we're just going throw almost 40 years of practical experience out the window and create a "Moonbus" that doesn't have fenders? Which part of 1/6 gravity, micro-fine power, and static-prone environmental issues didn't anyone think of before tarting up this render?

Seriously. The thing would be entirely covered in dust less than 5 minutes after it started up. The first moon buggy (Apollo 17) had to be "repaired" with duct tape and spare cardboard to prevent it from throwing dust on the passengers. If you are going to one up NASA, you should at least know about the first failure of their first space vehicle.

They're going to have to get rid of the alien moonbases before letting tourists up there...

This looks like just the thing for checking on the monolith.

No spacenerd points for #3 Anon; the first moon buggy premiered during Apollo 15 and the repair that he mentions was to an existing fender.
