Betting on short term expectations is what stock market speculation (as opposed to investment) is all about; I'm not really surprised to see folks making book on it more directly.
Either way, remember that short-term speculation is a gambling game run by pros for pros, and "if you don't see the sucker at the table, you're the sucker." I won't go near it; I stick with longterm and index funds, so I'm riding with the pros rather than pretending I can beat them.
