The latest Cool Tools updates gives a muscley thumbs-up to the “Blender Bottle,” a $7 cup with a steel mixing ball in the bottom for making protein shakes with one hand. (Don’t even.)
he whisking ball is really ingenious, but this is also the first bottle I have ever owned that I can shake without holding onto the lid at the same time. The spout is that secure. I’ve only used the Blender Bottle for cold protein powders and other sports nutrition products, but the web site lists other uses such as pancake batter, salad dressings, eggs, and gravy.

I prefer to use both hands anyway.
chubby tongued celbrity chef Jamie Oliver has a small version of one of these called the flavour shaker, it gets round the problem by splitting in half, so there is no spout or lid for ingredients to hide in.. i’m quite tempted to get one actually

Cool… Though I don’t think it’s going to solve the age old problem that I always have with protein shakes and these “shaker bottles” – a pellet of powder always gets lodged in the top spout, so that when I open it up a big puff of protein powder goes flying everywhere. I might give it a try, any way… what’s 7 bucks?
…Baby gravy.
You started it.

Thanks @10; but I grew up (sic) in the 60′s. No means yes and don’t means do.
I have one. The only problem is if you put the powder in first, then the water, sometimes a clump of protein powder can hang out down in the corners unless you shake exxxxtra hard. It’s friggin great.
You know I…oh wait he said “don’t”.
#9 -the search for more oh wait he said “don’t”.
Tupperware has made something like this for years, the Quick Shaker, though it’s more expensive, being Tupperware and all. We have one with numbers, and one without because it’s older than me — so they’re definitely durable.

We use it mostly for gravy, or an emergency measuring cup. I should start using it for shakes.
yeah, I had to hold my tongue on that one.
