Antique copper spotlight from General Electric, nickel hydraulic drafting table

gecopperspotlight.jpg

Urban Archaeology, an architectural salvage company, is selling this antique copper General Electric searchlight for $6,500 in their New York showroom. Gorgeous.

There are tons of amazing art deco pieces in their catalog, too. It's worth a browse.

Below, a nickel drafting table from Nike Hydraulics of Sweden, circa 1940. They want almost twenty grand for it.

As a former draftsman and old-school technical illustrator, that table is like looking at really really good porn! (if such a thing existed)

That table is gorgeous.

The searchlight needs a bat.

Agreed all. I want the table in the middle of my living room with the GE spotlight shining on it.

"The searchlight needs a bat... man logo mask"
Fixed.

oh and +1 on the table - my drafting table (which is sitting unused in my bedroom) looks less modern than this.
