LCD-style packing tape is cool, increases difficulty of writing things

thinkgeek-tape.jpg

Thinkgeek's Digital Message Tape has an endless sequence of white LCD characters, every arm and bar glowing white in the manner of a self-testing cash register. Just black out the ones you don't want to create a message. A marker pen is included, and it comes in 2"- and 0.7"-wide rolls.

It'd be cool if they made a version with multiple lines of smaller characters, so that it may be used to address the package as well as seal it.

I think you mean LED not LCD.

How does this have an advantage over writing block letters on white tape?

....

seriously this is a dumb product. You might as well sell me sparkly letter stickers I apply individually.

I bought one of these in the moma store the last time I was in new york, they had a style that had 4x4 pixel-squares as well.
