I dropped a Husky DOS PC off a seawall into five feet of salt water once, and when I finally fished it out it had timed out and shut down, but it started right up as soon as I hit the "on" button. And I once saw someone else drop a Trimble TSCe handheld Windows CE computer and it got run over by a Cat 740 off-road dump-truck; after we dug it out of the mud and hosed it off it too was still running, looking for satellites!
