In the Fifties, Olivetti built a computer that was even more powerful than the computers IBM was developing. In 1964 they even developed what is commonly seen as the real first Personal Computer at that time. Olivetti than faced a long decline in the 60s and in the 70s ... They went close to setting the standard for the position of the letters in the international keyboard, but IBM won the keyboard war.
