Video: Circuit-bent Pikachu nightmare chorus
Twelve circuit-bent, MIDI-actuated Pikachu toys scream together to form the "Y.M.O" — the Yellow Mouse Orchestra. Pink Tentacle has more if you dare.

That was probably the most annoying sound I've ever heard. 20 minutes of that and I would be soft putty for the interrogators.

Circuit bending is fun!
I just tried a little on an electronic guitar toy recently and it's cool making devices behave badly.

Click through to pinktentacle and watch the other two YouTube videos. They're far less annoying than the one Joel selected. One actually shows the group in pleasant, melodic mode, rather than pure, mind-melting noise.

Circuit bending is fun! My old music project would often set up a "studio" in a car, drive out to the middle of the woods, and record (using the ambient sound of the insects out, &c.). At one point we realized that bringing a butane soldering iron and some wire & solder, &c. on these trips was a Good Idea. Then we were able to bend "on location" when we got bored with whatever sounds the devices were supposed to make. Gooood times.
