Nikon’s grocery-store models also got a refresher today, with the Coolpix S560 fitted with a 5x optical zoom, 10cm macro shooting, smile detection and a choice of burnished silver, black, blue, pink and mauve.

The S60 is a bit more swish, with sharper design, a 10 megapixel sensor, 3.5″ LCD monitor, and a 5x zoom lens with a broad 33-165mm focal range. It shoots to ISO 3200 with “minimal noise,” touts better image stabilization, and comes in white, black, burgundy, mauve, pink and gold, but “color availability may vary according to region.” It’s 0.9 inches thick.

Also announced today is the S710, which has 14.5 megapixels, a 3.6x zoom lens, and creative-control features like exposure control. Its touted ISO 12800 sensitivity promises “clearer results” across the range. It comes in silver, red and – get this – “urban black.”
