This is the device that's got me in a tizzy right now. It just seems so genius.
Make a flat USB cable and use it as the Lanyard for your camera. Now you've got the connection from your camera to your computer, always handy.
Sure, I have questions about its durability, and the inability to cinch the loop closed around your wrist might be a downer- but it's a nice idea!
Those fang-like projections on the 'top' of the watch grab the back of the USB connector and hold it in place.
Anyone who ever ripped the skin of a few nuckles, or off the back of their hand in the 90's when messing about the insides of an unfamilliar desktop PC can attest to that.
It works for the watch, I agree that the lanyard you linked to might have problems...
coop
for the "cinch", I meant with respect to the lanyard- the littel 'bead' that's typically on the wrist straps for cameras.
The grabby fangs on the watch- no doubt it'd hold snug.
I'd wear this.
Too bad it's digital (the clock), and plasticky. The idea is great, the design is crap.
They make multi-colored ribbon cables. I don't give a flying fag if people will think I'm gay - rainbow ribbon is the only way to go if you want to look serious about your electronics.
