Bellacor Atomic Alarm Clock bring 1984 to wake-up time

atomicalarm.jpg

Bellarcor's alarm clock isn't very special by itself — standard Sharper Image tech, including a wather forecast display and thermometer — but what really strikes about it is how it is the spitting image of the sort of alarm clock that might wake up a Level 17 Miniluv drone for the Room 101 rat race. $79.00.

I guess I'll be that guy:

"including a wather forecast display and thermometer."

I think it looks more like the futuristic-but-flawed technology from Brazil.

I'd wake up screaming every morning. *shudder*

Damn, I wish there was an edit button. I wanted to add, I really enjoy this sort of work, with a modern feel but hearkening back to the 50s/60s, when everything was vacuum tubes, so everything was gigantic. In my opinion, people need to get away from steampunk, and try vacuumpunk, beige, CRTs, green monochrome, clickity-clack keys, all that good stuff

I agree with Bugs, its too scary looking. Besides I prefer to get the morning wather forecast from the radio so I can keep my eyes shut as long as possible.
