Leaked shot of iPod Nano 4G confirms new screen, new curves, tangerine blush

Another iPhone Nano 4G spy shot, this time blurrily depicting not an Asian retailers form-fitting case or the gutted body lying on the spining belt of an assembly line, but the full product, in all its polished tangerine glory.

I really liked the old Nano’s squat form factor, but the new curved design is lovely: not so much inferior as different, although I still can’t help but wonder who watches a widescreen movie on a Nano.

Form factor wise, it’s a sidestep really. I don’t expect Apple to be a never ending fountain of creativity, and honestly, at some point it’s just a psychological game of tweaking aesthetics. I never really found these things comfortable to hold in my hands to watch video on. To see what’s going on, I have to hold it to my face, and that get’s tiring, especially when I’m watching my magician training videos, using the pitiful little touchwheel to constantly rewind. Beyond all that, I just can’t see the utility in cramming video functionality in 1″ screens. Maybe I just don’t have enough interesting things to watch. Maybe I’ll take the BBtv series to the streets, and spread the gospel of Xeni’s rad hair.

Oh great! I was waiting for them to come out with a new model. Now I can finally decide on which one to buy!

    Hold your breath.
