Post-Its become Slinkies in "The Sticky Note Experiment"
If we can all just agree to the conceit that a square of brightly colored paper with glue smeared on one side is a gadget of a type, then this is the best gadget video of the week: Eepbird's "Sticky Note Experiments," in with 280,951 Post-It notes are stuck together and formed into slinkies. Its almost enough to make me wish I was still working from an office, as opposed to telecommuting from the toilet I installed in front of my refrigerator.

I just wanted to point out that these are not regular Post-it pads that have been made into slinkies. These are Post-It Pop-ups which already have the edges glued in alternating directions. They are being used as slinkies...no less beautiful, but a little less time consuming than manually sticking together all those post-its.

Wow! That's the poop.
HEY!! What's the deal with the new way recent comments are displayed on the right? At first glance I don't like it. I'd rather see an excerpt of the actual comment than just the subject.
Sorry to OT.
At first I wasn't impressed, but by the end I was freaking out. It probably didn't take a ton of time (like #1 said, certain ones come that way). I was mostly impressed with the Post-it balls rolling down the post-it chutes.
#3: Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new "recent comments" either. You can't even read the entire title.
I'm a horrible person, I know, but all I saw was Jaimie Chung.

I do like the "Vehicle" tag.
It's about time the slinky gets respect for the role it plays in moving things about in a modern society.
I understand they used post-its already stuck at alternating edges... but this will work if I just stick them all like that myself using a normal stack, right?
I know, it'll take a while. But I have someone to impress.
I'm wondering if any third party post it generic ripoff goes to the trouble of gluing their post-its in that alternating way already, so that the slinkies could be ready made for us all.
I think that they are. Look how clean the edges of those stacks are. And if you peeled off regular post its to make those, there would be a curl.
@3 I second favoring the old comment-showing style too -- I could always see Takuan's (spell?) latest thought!
Wait, so you poop in your trash can? Classy.
A conversation about the new format of the "Recent Comments" section is going on in the Moderation Thread.
..from here down.. :)
I keep coming back to this, I love it!
From ubiquitous to sublime in 3 minutes 17 seconds.
