Leica S2, first foray into market with a 37.5-megapixel DSLR
I hope you have refilled your money bucket: Leica has announced its own DSLR system built around the S2, their first DSLR. With a 37.5-megapixel sensor (and even autofocus — fancy!), the S2 is designed to bridge the space between lower DSLRs and medium-format bodies.

Just guessing here: is 70mm the 'normal' lens for this format? That would be slightly smaller than the 645, but it sounds about right looking at their lens lineup.
I think if I empty my 401(k) I could probably scrape up the down payment for this. . .
This camera looks like a hunched over old man...
56% larger sensor size than full-frame, but triple the megapixels. I'd be very curious how well this holds up. Megapixels don't really matter, it's how many photons can be captured before overcoming the thermal noise. Just compare the P&S 12MP cameras to full-sensor size 12MP to see the difference.
It's a Leica, though. Maybe you just shoot at ISO 25 in the studio with it... can't wait to see!
Technically, this is Leica's second foray into the DSLR world.
