Apple: no, dammit, you can’t get leukemia from sniffing a Mac Pro

As you were, gentlemen: Apple’s released a statement in regards to the Mac Pro leukemia scare.

“We have not found anything that supports this claim, but continue to investigate it for the customer,” Apple spokesman Bill Evans told Macworld.

Which is about what I expected, but this is one of those issues which Apple just can’t stay quiet about with their undoggable and customary sullenness.

…I’m reminded of what I’ve always said about cancer. Either everything causes cancer and we can’t ever win, or it’s really white mice who cause cancer.

Either way, I’m going to be handling any Mac I’m stupid enough to touch only while wearing full BNC gear…:-)

Side Note: Does the bite out of the Apple Logo now signify a removed tumor? :-)

You think one of the standards associations would have picked this up a while ago if it were true.

    Hooray for FUD.

Snicker. Y’all aren’t old enough to remember decades back when benzene was commonly kept in an open squeeze bottle in most chemistry labs, and used as a universal solvent for cleaning stuff. Squirt, wipe, rub. No gloves, no masks.

Betcha it’s still that way in China, eh?

Any chance there might be a little in a fan or board in one of those Apple products?

    No chance?

    Thanks for the reassurance.

Oh, wait — what DID the French detect, then?
