The LEGO Zombie Apocafest

The LEGO Zombie Apocafest 2008 fails inregards to the paucity of the gore on display — where is the dimpled plastic viscera spilling from the separated torsos of aghast, cannibalized minifigs? — but it is still one of the great triumphs of BrickCon.

Where do they get the zombie minifigs?

It’s good to give these toys to children. Start their training early for the zombie apocalypse.

Note to self: Current Lego projects are dangerously lacking in deathmobiles.

    Thanks for the link-love, John!

One reason this doesn’t include gore is because it was part of a public display that drew nearly 7,000 parents and kids. As it was, we got a handful of complaints and a few parents rushing their children out of sight of the zombie display. LOL!

More frequently, though, parents were pulling their children back to show them details the kids had overlooked. I think parents got what the display was about much more than the average 8-year-old.

Rest assured there’ll be fewer successful survivors for Zombie Apocafest 2009, with appropriate gore — albeit out of sight of the general public (but with photos for the internets, of course).
