Welsh police tase runaway sheep

A police officer in north Wales had a problem: a sheep blocking traffic on the A55 highway. Not prepared to wait after motorists got out their cars and started herding it off the road, the copper tased the wooly miscreant.

"It is not difficult to herd sheep," said the owner of the local animal center.

Tony McNulty, the Home Office minister who eased restrictions on the use of stun guns last year, said they could be used 'where officers are facing violence or threats of violence of such severity that they would need to use force to protect the public, themselves and or the subjects of their action'.
Richard Brunstrom, the chief constable of North Wales Police, previously said in an online blog that the stun gun would provide 'better and quicker protection to ordinary patrol officers in remote locations, faced with dangerous or violent people'.

What baastards. I can just imagine the T-Shirts that these guys print.

this is pure lazyness and lack of respect for another creature.
if this fucker can't handle a wayward sheep without resorting to the most dangerous weapon at his disposal, he has no place being a police officer

I am actually for the police having tazers and cs gas, they have a dangerous job, and could do with some decent tools .but they need to handled as if they are potentially lethal. because .. they are.
