Apple.fr: The New MacBooks are Perfectly Shit.

Why you shouldn’t translate your corporate websites via Google Translate: according to TUAW, Apple’s attempts to inform the French that the new MacBooks were “perfectly designed” was translated into grenouille as “perfectly dumb”… or, more vulgarly, “perfectly shit.”

    A simple copy-and-paste error, it seems. According to the original post about the gaffe (that’s French for gaffe), the line now has changed to “Parfaitement conçu” or “Perfectly Designed”:

    My french (and it is from La Belle Province not from France) translates “grenouille” as frog. In Quebec, shit was known as “merde.”
