Woo, first post, and you post this just as it's bubbling in my mind.
I just played through Kkrieger. That's an FPS game which is all of 96kb.
It is smaller than the files used to store a single gun in an older (C. 1999) FPS.

Procedural generation is the shit.
Wow, this isn't your grandfather's demoscene.
I was thinking along the lines of

But these whippersnappers, with their 3ds, and their drums and basses....
GET OFF MY LAWN!
Speechless.
I'd recommend viewing it in something other than youtube's shitty overly-lossy compressed video and audio.
Either download a video here or view in "HD" with flash.

Or just get the actual demo (only 64k!) and run it with no loss at all :

(Note from Rob: McAfee antivirus reports this contains a trojan. Download and execute at own risk.)
Grand!
I recently got re-acquainted with the demo scene because of release last week of Linger in the Shadows on PS3.

Only $3 and well worth it.
Demoscene looks like some Greek theater term, dem-OS-kuh-nee.
I guess I'm thinking of "demesne".
