    Doesn’t anyone remember organ grinders? Same concept, different form factor.

    I like the automaton aspect, but I’ll play my own accordion, thank you muchly. (And yes, I have one, among other instruments. If you think of it as an early mechanical keyboard synth — or just a portable reed organ — it’s actually a pretty nifty device.)
