Easiest to Read digital scale with high-contrast LCD

This "Easiest to Read Digital Scale" is actually quite attractive in its way, with a massive LCD display on the right that stays displayed for ten seconds after you step off the scale. It's designed for oldsters, I'm sure, but I think it'd work fine in most bathrooms.

I also like how the icons indicate options for Batman, Elf, Pizza Server, and Trap Hole Salesman. That should cover all the bases.

It's a hundred bucks, about three times as expensive as it should be.

What parts are you supposed to step on? The light parts (in which case the display would be sideways), or on the display part (footprints on the display)? Oh, sad little crapvendor.

3x sanity price? And it's from the Hammacher's catalog? The deuce you say! Next you'll be telling me those $40 "personal massagers" from Brookstone are overpriced too...

Hrm. The cheapest BMI/BMR/fat/water content/yada yada yada scales go for $50, and the feature set proclaimed is similar to other scales at that price point. Don't think it's exorbitant, but can't say I like the design.
