In short, it's bad. Don't buy it.

You want a real gadget? Timeless design, perfect balance of form and function, effortless cool, unbreakable build quality? Look behind you. Nice Bigsby, dude

These blobjects that glom onto these products are sometimes necessary, cheaper, but more often than not ccccccccccccrapppp. i wonder could I build my own iphone charging dock?
An aside...
Joel is much cuter than I imagined. I'd love to see his Bigsby up close and personal-like. You're my new crush, Joel!

Thanks. It's an Epiphone Riviera, though, so not quite a Bigsby. And its internals need some work at the moment and I can't do it myself. But I can't bear to part with her. We call her the Cadillac!

I'm actually surprised it made it as much louder as it did. I was pretty convinced from the beginning that it was going to sound like ass.
P.S. I'm still not convinced that the new album is as good as Cookie Mountain...

Thanks Joel, that was short and right to the point. I was curious about it, but not $20 curious. Thanks for taking one for the team.

I even had one on order, so this was a timely warning.
I was still on board for the amusement factor until I saw the awesomely bad waggly cable.

Eww. It's like a reverse ear trumpet. Thanks for the review. I might have otherwise bought one for the amusement factor as well.
Joel, would you consider scraping the roadkill off your scalp and doing a nude video review?

I fall in the pro-stubble camp - you wear it well Joel, you look damn cute.
On a slightly more on topic note, I hate it when things don't have a little cut-out for the cord. It's just frustrating and it makes things tipsy and for a klutz like me, that's really not good.

I don't know about cute, but 'bad haircut Joel' amuses the fuck out of me. Makes me feel good about my own self cut hair.

This is the third review I've read/watched that reviewed this product incorrectly.
THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT SUPPORT THE IPOD TOUCH!

I've got this product and I immediately complained to Griffin about the ridiculous cable situation. As you know the specs claim it works with Apple's cable. However, Griffin immediately told me that it needed a Griffin cable, which they were happy to send me for free. If it needs a special cable, wonder why it's not included? Read on... I got the cable, which is similar to the Apple cable, except the iPhone end has a hood about twice as long, and that allows it to be braced against a shelf in the cable well, placing it at the proper angle and depth so that when the iPhone is pressed into the dock, the connector mates. BUT...it's a LOCKING connector! So, when you try to remove the iPhone, it pulls the whole cable out the top of the dock, and you have to squeeze the two buttons flanking the hood to release the infernal micro-hooks that have engaged the port on the iPhone. I again wrote to Griffin (steamed!), and they replied with the preposterous claim that "for the iPhone, including the one that's included with the iPhone, have that locking function". After I 'splained things to them (ultra-close-up photo of both connectors included, proving them wrong), they then replied, "Unfortunately, we do not currently have any cables that will fit the AirCurve perfectly and do not have a locking mechanism, but as soon as we have an adapter available that will allow you to use your iPhone's cable seamlessly, we will forward that on to you." So, in short, they released this product before it was finished, and they admit it cannot be used as a charge/sync dock in its present form. Shameful.

Correction to a (large) typo in my post above (#19): The preposterous Griffin claim was that "all cables for the iPhone, including the one that's included with the iPhone, have that locking function".
Sorry for the confusing truncated quote.

So it *CAN'T* be used for charging. At all? Never? Totally impossible?
