Blackbird Rider Nylon, a carbon-fiber acoustic guitar

nylonblackbird.jpg

Blackbird Guitars is now selling a nylon-stringed version of their Rider, unibody, carbon fiber guitar that is slightly larger than the steel-stringed original. The “Rider Nylon” is just as pretty as its predecessor — and someday I’ll actually play one to find out how they feel.

The Blackbird Rider Nylon starts at $1,900.

That’s fantastic. I always disliked playing an Ovation even though they are cheap, decent-sounding, loud, and sturdy. The neck is just too much like an electric for my taste. This looks like an awesome replacement for a classical, a wider neck with less of a radius and no fret markers. I love it.

How they feel? I’d be more interested in how they sound
