At first look, Nieman Marcus‘ Demy Digital Recipe Reader, with its apparent ease of use, cuddly appearance and eminently original functionality, looks like a perfect christmas gift for grandma.

Actually if it were half the price and hackable this would be a perfect ebook/CBR reader for around the house. Especially if it were waterproof.
As for the iPhone, sorry, a teeny tiny screen with teeny tiny fonts doesn’t work well with aging eyes or any eyes when you are trying to read at a distance while cooking with both hands full.
Also what is the comparative TCO (including the AT&T contract).
