CES, the consumer tech show held in January each year, presents a few great new products and a lot of middling ones. Western purchasing officers chat with suppliers from far away, deals are cut, and LEDs furiously blink. And there are polyester laptop bags: more of them than you can possibly imagine.
Is MacWorld the same week as CES again next year? Why, yes, it is. A cyber-oreo goes to anyone who remembers what happened the last time these planets aligned.

Well, IIRC, AppleTV was announced. Oh, and MacWorld completely overshadowed CES. D'oh!
That woman looks like she has a variation of the RAGE virus.
Robert Anton Wilson died the last time the two events overlapped. If he manages it again in 2009 I'll be very impressed.
Meh. This came first:

"Knocking at the walls of heartache - Bang, bang.
I am the warrior..."
:P
Is that "woman" (?) supposed to be attractive in some way?
Neither were great. I know you're implying Macworld is better, but I mean really, what's changed?
...Otay, I give: What *did* happen when both CES and Muckworld happened at the same time?
She is Pris, the Daryl Hannah character in Blade Runner.
She was attractive, then, but with big manly hands.
Oh. Duh. I didn't read or paste Airship's link until after commenting. Serves me right, then, to look like an idiot.
I thought that was when the iPhone was announced, which totally overshadowed everything at CES.
IIRC all the tech pundits could do was ask the cell vendors on hand how they would compete, vendors all replied derisively.
This ad reminds me of something I overheard when trying on clothes in a changing booth at La Senza.
One salesgirl said to another, commenting about the posters all over the store: "Seriously, this woman looks like she's gonna eat her baby".
I believe said comment applies in this case as well.
PS I've always liked the designs on Golla bags.
