A transparent automatic tape dispenser

As much as I love these pleasantly youthful transparent gadgets from The Wireless Catalog, I'm not entirely convinced that a stapler or tape dispenser requires quite so many moving parts. Or, indeed, that they need to cost nearly $40.

Humm, i swear when I was younger I remember seeing something like this in school. I always seemed memorized by them, but that $40 price tag makes me think twice before pulling the trigger...

I have had this particular stapler for at least 15 years. Watching it work makes me happy.

I used to have a landline phone that was designed with a similar premise. I found it to be adequate compensation for the ancient disappointment that I suffered on finding out that, in the Visible Woman model kit, the parts that I was most interested in were, in fact, not visible.

I've had one of those staplers for years. Cost me maybe $5.95. Works great, fun to watch. Hmmm, time for eBay?

Waht Jimkirk said. I got one of these at one of those outlet mall toy stores for something less than three bux.

Then I realized I never do any stapling.
