Reports: Samsung’s “7-hour” NC10 notebook selling out

Samsung’s NC10 has sold out in Europe, according to reports, and stocks won’t be replenished until the new year. Though launched a few months ago, it’s become popular as word of its unusually good battery life spread around the internet.

“We are increasing facility capacity as fast as we can,” said (Samsung IT director) Smith, “we thought the netbook would be big but not as big as it’s been.”

Shipments are due to increase over the coming weeks in the run up to Christmas but Smith conceded it could sell “three to four times the amount that we are able to ship”.

No such trouble here in the U.S., where it’s still at Amazon and Newegg.

Stores in the UK have also been super-cheeky-sneaky by bumping up the rrp of the thing from £300 to £330. I managed to get my order in about two days before the price-hike, and having receieved it yesterday am mildly overjoyed. So pretty.
