reviveLite wards off monsters, recharges iPhone

As long as the explosive caltrops are set-up in an anti-monster perimeter around the bed at night, I have little need for a nightlight, but I rather like the design of the reviveLite, which both charges your iPod overnight and wards of nocturnal vampires and grues while you sleep. It's $40, though, which seems a bit expensive.

This seems more compact than wall wart + cable + dock you might otherwise have to travel with, but I think this might only get travel use, because I doubt anyone with an iphone has a bedside socket that is not snaked out with multiple outlet powerstrips stuffed to the gills already.

That is why any -"it merely plugs in your wall socket" gizmo seems so quaint and misguided.
