Outside the Apple Soho store, a little bite of commentary. Or just a visual pun! A hobo warding? House sparrow tetherball? I do not know.

we played snapapple at halloween.
it was all fun and games till one poor kid took a cox’s orange pippin in the temple.
Note that this is an ordinary apple hanging from a branch by a string, not a huge mockup apple hanging from the roof. I would presume it’s the photographer’s visual pun on the (bitten) apple logo visible above the door, rather than the photog commenting on someone else’s comment, until there’s evidence to the contrary.
Though the concept of just leaving the bitten apple hanging there and walking away, for others to discover and figure out, does appeal to me.
Obviously a murder staged to look like a suicide.
Shinigami are afoot. Look out for any red-headed young men with God complexes.
Challenger, you think maybe someone was in the store looking to buy a new notebook?
