Vertu Boucheron 150, a crumply golden fancyphone
"Financial crises don't hit everone," reports Luxury Launches, and it's true! Those looking to remind the world of their wealth have a new Vertu phone, the Boucheron, to buy.
Made of solid gold, the ~$30,000 device is claimed to have taken 2,200 man-hours of workmanship to create. The keypad is made of sapphire and it comes with a walnut case made by Reuge.
Because it's so God-damned weird, this is the first Vertu phone I look at and think "Now, that is a beautiful thing." Even if it is for doucherons.

2200 man-hours to make? That's more than a year of 40 hour work weeks. So assuming that one craftsman did the work, the technology is at least a year or more out of date. I guess a "doucheron" means that you have no problem spending money on old technology...

That right there is a hot pile of ugly. I can't even read the keys, it looks like it would cut up my hands if I tried to hold it. Pffffffft.
Rob - it's looking more like it's a false-positives problem at Symantec - there are 6 pages of comments on it at the Norton community forum, all today, all I think having problems with trusted sites here.
