    I read that the legendary soccer player Pele played using a ball made from socks. Maybe the next Pele or Cristiano Ronaldo is in the picture… or the next wave of DIY technologists.

    When I was working as a computer operator in the early 80s we had a similar football – but it was made out of magnetic tape and rubber bands.
    The cricket bat and ball were less impressive but caused just as much damage.
